It can be nice not to have to rush in the mornings when school finishes but summer can also be a very difficult time for many SEND families. Many of us feel isolated or dont know where we can go with all of our children when one or more has SEND needs, and we can struggle too.
This session we will be letting you know what activities are available in your area, how to apply for Short Breaks, and who is open and there to help when you need it.
Online safety can be a real worry for our children and young people so we have Ellen from NSPCC with us to give us advice too.
Pinpoint provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.
No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.
We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and are the Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.
You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!
Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions – You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
