Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) Parent Guide
May 17 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Free- This event has passed.
Sadly, Pinpoint are hearing of more and more families whose children or young person is struggling to attend and cope in school with Emotional Based School Avoidance. Increasingly some find they are simply unable to attend which has a huge impact to them, their parents and the wider family.
Katy Roe has been working with SEND parent carers on the EBSA Parent Guide to include the needs of SEND children. She is with us today to bring the guide “to life” and to continue to make sure this responds to SEND parent carer feedback.
Pinpoint provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.
No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.
We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and are the Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.
You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!
Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions – You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
