ASD/ADHD Session with Rebecca Champ – Smart but Sensitive: Emotions and ADHD Development
3rd November 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Free- This event has passed.

With ADHD, your emotions feel permanently set on “high”. No matter the age group, ADHDers will tend to stand out because of their strong emotional reactions: talking constantly (and sometimes loudly) when excited, quick to react physically when angry or frustrated, anxious and overwrought when frightened, or overcome with despair when feeling criticised or rejected. Why are kids with ADHD so sensitive and emotionally reactive? And why do they seem to feel it so much stronger than other kids the same age? Learn about how the ADHD emotional scale is different and why it is important for your kids and you to recognise emotions and their influence on behaviour.
