Barriers to School Attendance

January 17 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free
  • This event has passed.

PLEASE NOTE EARLIER START TIME 7PM

Pinpoint increasingly hears about children and young people being unable to attend school. School based anxiety can often be due to sensory and neurodiverse needs not being met.

This is another chance to hear from friend of Pinpoint, Yvonne Newbold as she looks at what these are and how we can help.

PLEASE NOTE – this recording is 1 hour & 50mins long.

Pinpoint provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.

No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.

We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and are the Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.

You will be sent an email from Pinpoint containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and again 30 min before. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!

Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions – You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
