For many SEND children, behaviours that look worrying to us as parents may be the very thing they need to do to reduce their anxiety.

When our child or young person is upset, they may behave in a way that worries us. For many SEND children and young people biting, chewing, flapping their arms or punching things may actually be helping them calm down. This is another chance to hear from Elisa Ferriggi from Think Autism as she explains and explores this with us.

Pinpoint provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire. No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.

We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and are the Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.

You will be sent an email from Eventbrite containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and again 15min before. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there! Thank you
