Preparing for Adulthood Building Independence Skills TSI

Many of us worry that our young person may struggle to find employment or meaningful occupation when they leave school. Helping them to build their independence is so important but how can we do this?
Ellen Atkinson is with us from Internships Work to explain the “TSI” System which stands for Training in Systematic Instruction. TSI is a Person Centred Approach to promote independence at home and at work, with an “errorless” learning system to help our young person on their journey to the adult world.
Pinpoint provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.
No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.
We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and are the Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.
You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!
Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions – You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
