Ofsted and the CQC will conduct a joint inspection of Cambridgeshire SEND Services over the next three weeks to assess their effectiveness in meeting the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Your input is crucial in ensuring inspectors grasp the true experiences of families accessing SEND services in Cambridgeshire.
Please share your views via this Ofsted survey promptly — it’s only open until 9am on Tuesday 21st January.

Additionally, the inspectors have announced they WILL NOT be holding a parent-carer meeting. The inspectors will, however, be meeting with the forum. Before this happens we need you to join US to tell us what you want us to feedback. We will hold a dedicated session on Tuesday 21st January 10am for you to be able to share your views so that we can give these to the inspection team. To book your FREE ticket please click here.
A number of you have asked why the inspection team will not be holding a parent carer meeting so we asked them to respond and have added their response below:
Ofsted is really keen to hear the voices of parents and carers about the experiences of families of the area’s support for SEND. We do not typically hold open forums with groups of parents. Our survey is a means to help all voices get a fair and equal representation in the evidence base. As our handbook states, we also meet with the Parent Carer Forum, and will also seek to gather evidence about the experience of families in other ways during the inspection.
