Cambridge NAS cultivates a gardening club

Cambridge National Autistic Society (NAS) is setting up a gardening club after being awarded a grant from the National Garden Scheme.

The club will run in the garden at the Chitra Sethia Autism Centre in Fulbourn, near Cambridge.  The funding will buy a new greenhouse and fund transport costs for club members to get to the centre.

The aim is to provide a relaxing opportunity to socialise, learn new skills and grow some vegetables.

THE NGS has donated a record £3 million to charities in 2017, including £130,000 to the NAS to help bring the benefits of gardens to autistic people and their families.
